In 2014 I read an article on Floatation Therapy and decided to give it a try, unfortunately I couldn't find a local centre or spa that offered the treatment, so my partner and I were going away to Devon for a short holiday so we decided to go via London and book a float session each at “Float works”, we both had an hours float that was amazing in fact it totally chilled us out for the duration of the holiday.
On our return home we both wanted to have another float session but didn't fancy the long drive “Penny Dropped” I decided that with this been an up and coming therapy there must be a local demand!!!
After weeks of searching for suitable premises I stumbled on Redmayne Lodge, the property screamed Floatation & Therapy Centre, after a period of negotiations with the property owners I decided to apply for change of use from the existing office complex to a Complementary Therapy Centre. Redmayne Lodge Ltd was born.
Before the planning approval was even granted we had several enquiries from local therapists wanting to hire rooms, So phase one of the development saw the inclusion of two floatation rooms and a FAR Infra-Red sauna room operated by Yorkshire Floatation Centre, A Colonic Hydro-therapy Suite operated by specialist Ro Parry, Reflexology by Sarah Shaw, Swedish Massage and several other treatments by Jaydene Buckle of Peace Massage.
